Tulip plants range in height from 10 cm to 70 cm, depending on the species (variety). When it comes to flowers, they are generally formed like a cup or an egg and have six petals. Tulip flower petals come in a range of colors and patterns, depending on the type or species.

Varieties

There are three classes of tulips; early flowering Tulips, mid season Tulips, late flowering Tulips.
In India, The main varieties of early flowering Tulips are; Single Early, Double Early, Duc van Tol and mid season Tulips are; Triumph, Mendal.

Breeders, Lily flowered, Rembrandt, Bijbloemen, Double Late, Parrots, Darwin, and Darwin hybrids are late-season Tulip varieties. In Himalayan areas, Tulipa stellata and Tulipa aitchisonii are cultivated.

It mostly flourish in colder winters because of the cold temperature requirement for bulbs. They can be grown in pots, holders, arranged beds, borders, and under various plantations such as apples, cherries, and so forth.Tulips can be filled in nursery, polyhouse and shade net.

They thrive in good, medium soil, but they perform best in well-drained loam. The bulbs are often planted in the autumn at a depth of four to eight inches beneath the surface in compost-rich soil.

In heavy soils, the addition of well-decomposed compost, peat moss, or other organic matter aids crop development.

After the bulbs are planted, you need to water them thoroughly, keeping drainage open and afterward cover the region with leaves mulch for protection.
